  1. Mrs. Suwinski, if this is the page to post our Scotland/Wales heritage, patriotic...thing, here is mine.
The flag of Wales is a symbol of the patriotism of the Welsh people. It consists of a red dragon on a background of a bicolor, white on top of green. The dragon is the Red Dragon of Cadwaladr ap Cadwallon, the King of the Kingdom of Gwynedd from 655-682. The two white and green stripes represent the Tudor dynasty, one of the British ruling houses that originated in Wales. Henry VII charged into battle at the Battle of Bosworth Field in 1485. Then the flag was carried to St. Paul's Cathedral. In 1959, the bicolor with the dragon was officially accepted as the flag of Wales.

  2. And to clear that up, he charged into battle bearing the Welsh flag. Henry VII, that is.

  3. The flag of Wales has a red dragon with a green and white background. The theory of how the emblem came to be was from the Romans. They brought it over to Wales during the occupation of Britain. The dragon symbol has a story behind it. The story is about a red and white dragon that fought. The dragon is a symbol of authority.
